Brooke is Home!

We came home from the Christmas party yesterday to the announcement that Brooke would be coming home on Sunday (today). She has done amazingly well!

Grandpa enjoying a quite moment with his first grand-daughter.

Grandma is in heaven! Brooke sure is a cutie!

Brother and sister going to their own home. Good luck Tyler and Jill! What a difference three months make.

Curtis Family Christmas Party

Yesterday we had the Curtis family "Christmas" party. Often we have had the party on sunday, nearer Christmas, and in the evening. We tried a breakfast, and played more games than in the past. My kids said it went well. I hope so! A great big thanks goes out to Tyler, Jordan and Lacey, and Ashley and Bradley for the games, and for all those who helped with the cooking (Jordan and Jeff - with the pancakes) and all of the families with their assigned food.

On of the hits was the donut eating contest. The hitch was that the donut was on a string and you had to eat the donut with you hands behind your back. That's a cute trio.

It looks to me like Curtis was cheating a little on this one. Wait - is that Gavin in the back eating a donut with his hands also? Jeff, Austin and Dallin are really into the competition.

Cameron is trying to eat the donut while still on the string - Kyrsten and Kaili are eating it the old fashion way - get it to the floor and dive in!

Bruce's family looking happy here!

Look whose is competive here (Jennie)!

Oh my, even the old folks dove in.

Julie and Kaitlyn enjoyed a quite moment together.

Trisha, Miriam and Kolbie.

Gavin was one of the first to take a whack at the pinata.

Which eventually culminated in the children diving for lots of candy.

The Christmas party would not be complete without the Christmas story. Mary and Joseph seem to be getting younger every year. Look Joseph brought his bag of treats.

The full cast. It looks like we initiated Dustin into the family.

We Believe in Miracles!

We believe in miracles. Brooke was born on November 5th, 2008 - which is about a month before her due date. She was 4 lbs. 11 ozs. - and 17 1/2 inches long. Who would have guessed at this time a year ago that Tyler and Jill would have a baby during 2008 - and now they have TWO!!What a beautiful baby! Brooke is doing well! She is off the IV - she just needs to learn to eat and she can get rid of the feeding tube. She has even gained a little weight - she is now 4 lbs. 15 1/2 ozs.

Brooke is dressed in a "preemie" outfit - she will not fit in that size for very long.

Grandpa Curtis got to hold Brooke for 30 minutes earlier today - he is in 7th heaven. Do you think Brooke and her soon to be cousin will have Grandpa wrapped around their fingers?

Baby Brooke has arrived

Well if you haven't heard yet, baby Brooke arrived today at 4:28 p.m. She has lots of light brown hair that likes to stick straight up. Grandma and Grandpa are the only ones that get to see her right now with her being in the ICU. She is 4 lbs and 11 oz, and 17 1/2 inches long. Mother Jill is doing okay after a C-Section.
Grandma has stayed busy tending Jackson the past two days. Jackson loves to watch TV especially cartoons. Who knew a 3 month would love TV? Here are some pictures of Jackson chilling at Grandpa and Grandma's and he even loved the bath time.
Pictures of baby brooke will come later...

Jackson has been a very good boy at Grandma's and only woke up once last night for 10 minutes.

Gotta love Halloween

Halloween Night everyone (minus the Cheng family who went trick-or-treating in their neighborhood) came over for some soup, pumpkin cookies, candy, eyeball slushy, and fun.

Jackson was a Red Chili Pepper. Who knew chili peppers could be this cute?

Jackson and Gavin the stinky skunk.

We didn't have any pictures of Gage, he was too busy trick-or-treating or passing out candy so Grandma and Grandpa didn't have to. Thanks Gage!

Gavin loves Shadow and is probably the only grandchild that has taken an interest in her.
He loved to feed Shadow his candy all night long.

Tyler was getting Jackson to laugh and smile.

He is growing more everyday. He must want to be a "BIG" brother for when baby Brooke comes. Now that October is over with the next thing I am looking forward to is my very first GRAND-DAUGHTER that may be here for Thanksgiving!
